As markets slowed and quality became a priority, BSI decided to release a full page advert in specialist press why standards had to be maintained during the difficult periods and this level should be communicated to the general public. This best way to achieve this was to have BSI standard. We developed a strong graphic approach using bold colour and depiction of the BSI kite flying free in the air. This coupled with the strap-line ‘Excellence in a wind of change’ ensured the message was clear.
